How do I place an order? 

You can place your order by filling in the order form on the menu page or by email (If you don't use the form, include all relevant information such as how many servings you need, theme or occasion, design wishes and the cake and filling you want). Please check the pricing and minimum servings before you place your order. 

How long in advance should I place my order? 

It depends, sometimes last minute orders are possible but in general I recommend you place your order 1-2 weeks before. Sometimes a weekend is fully booked even 5-6 weeks in advance. You can always ask :) 

Can I order a cake for 2 or 5 people? 

The minimum order size for standard cakes is 15 servings. I can make you a minicake but I have to charge the full price.

Is there a phone number I can call? 

No, unfortunately I can't be available on the phone as I am either baking or taking care of my family and prefer all communication in writing.  Luckily there is internet and all communication with me is possible by email or Facebook messenger. 

How much do the cakes costs? 

The price of each cake is different and depends on the design, your chosen cake and filling options and of course, the size. See example pricing on the pricing section. 

Do you deliver? 

Yes, delivery is possible and I use a courier service. They have successfully delivered my cakes since 2014. 

I have emailed an order but received no reply yet, why is that?

I am the customer service, sales department, baker, decorator and cleaner so it might sometimes take a while before I am able to respond to your message. This is especially the case if you message me on Thursday-Saturday when I am busiest with the cakes of that week. I understand it is disappointing not to receive instant reply but I promise, when I am making your cake, you too will be happy I have full focus creating it. :) 

I have emailed you Saturday evening and its now Sunday, still no reply, why not? 

I do love making cakes but even I need time off from this world. I have two small boys, hubby and a french bulldog pup that also need my full attention at times. 

I have filled in the order form, is my order confirmed? 

Not yet, I will have a look at the order and if there is all information I need I will send you a quote, if I need more information, I will ask this first. If you then wish to move forward with the order I will send you a deposit link. This link is valid for 24 hours. This is because I receive hundreds of emails every week and unfortunately sometimes many of the orders are not confirmed by the customers and then I turn down other orders for no reason. So if you really want to place that order, please take care of the deposit within the time frame.  

I have received a deposit link but didn't pay it within 24 hours, what now? 

Then your order is not confirmed and it may be that someone else gets your spot. You can always ask if it's still possible and I can give you a new link. 

Do you make gluten-free/ sugar-free/ dairy-free cakes? 

Luckily there are other bakers that specialise in these specific cakes but I can't help with these. I make only normal cakes and eggless exception :D 

Can I change my order? 

Changing your order is possible up to 2 weeks before the delivery date. I make orders and planning in advance so if you want a smaller cake than originally planned, let me know more than 2 weeks in advance, after this it's no longer possible.

Is there gelatine or alcohol in the cakes? 

No, I don't use any gelatine or alcohol in the cakes. 

Someone in my party has a severe nut allergy, do you guarantee nut free products? 

I make praline with hazelnuts, almonds and pistachio and there is always a possibility of traces of these in the cakes. Of course I clean thoroughly the tools and equipment but I cannot guarantee this 100%. It's therefore better you do not place order with me if the allergy is life threatening. 

Where can I pick my order? 

Pick up is from my Atelier, eerste laurierdwarsstaat 13H, 1016PV Amsterdam by appointment. 

Can I make an order for Sunday? 

Cakes for Sunday are picked up on Saturday before. The cake will be yummy and perfectly fresh also on Sunday and even until Wednesday depending on the filling of your choice (mascarpone cakes are recommended to be eaten within 3 days). 

Sunday is my family day so I usually won't be at the bakery for pick ups. An exception is possible with big orders and for a fee.  

How long does the cake stay edible? 

All my cakes are best when eaten within 3 days but cakes with buttercream filling last up to 5 days when stored properly in the fridge. If you have a lot of leftovers you can also freeze the cake in an airtight container for up to 3 months. 

Do I need to know anything else when I get my cake? 

Keep the cake safely stored in a cool place until about 2-3 hours before planned serving. The cake needs time to come to room temperature as I use butter in my cakes and the butter gets hard when cold. So for best experience, please store in cool but allow it to come to the right temperature before eating. Avoid storing the cake with strong smelling foods! 

Can I cancel my order? 

Yes, you can cancel the order for up to 2 weeks before the delivery date but note that the deposit you have paid is non refundable. Please see terms and conditions.
